Abrasive Wheels
Our abrasive wheels course is designed to highlight requirements under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 and highlight how important It Is not only to use abrasive wheels safely but to make sure that the equipment is not defective before use.
What you will learn...
- The requirements of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998
- Hazards and safety considerations when using abrasive wheels.
- The various types of machines and discs/wheels available for use, their markings and speeds.
- How to test/inspect the work equipment prior to use, including checking for expiration dates and disc/wheel speeds.
- Personal Protective Equipment.
- How to use grinding, cutting, abrasive wheels, including the changing of discs/wheels.
- Storage, handling and transporting discs and wheels.

Working At Height
Our working at height course is designed to give our delegates the information, skill and confidence to use ladders and stepladders safely, this also includes how to correctly complete a thorough of both ladders and stepladders.

- Responsibilities of both employers and employees under the Health and Safety at work

- Correctly choosing the suitable work at height equipment for the task.
- Conducting a pre use check of both ladders and stepladders.
- Correctly erecting ladders and stepladders.
